For me, photography is about more than the click of a button. It’s about capturing those moments of life that often pass before we even have a chance to know they’re there.

Growing up, I had an aunt who loved to travel and would show me the pictures she had taken on her old Pentax camera. Enraptured with the imagery of things I had never experienced and how they were frozen in time with the click of a button, she would let me play on her camera, learning to capture moments of my own.

This world we live in moves quickly, especially for those like myself, who as introverts, can be swept away in the chaos. To truly appreciate the moments without letting them pass me by, I need a moment to pause. In those pauses, I see the world around me the way I would capture it in a photo – the framing, the angle, the way the light and position of it all would create a fracture in time that would never fade and always captivate.

As a photographer, this is what I get to do for my clients. I get to pause their lives for a short time and capture the magic to provide a memory that they can go back and reflect on at any time. Whether it's time with a beloved pet, family, friends, a special day – those moments may pass quickly, but that pause the photo provides? It lasts a lifetime.
